Important Dates

On Friday, March 21, 2025, the annual dodgeball tournament will take place in the large playing hall of the Sports Institute of the University of Bayreuth.
To take part, you need:

A team of at least 6 athletically enthusiastic players (at least one woman or one professor)
At least one person from your team should know the rules at referee level!
A heroic team name (for the history books and alumni letters)
Your affiliation (department, course of study, favorite chemical, or whatever else unites you)
Optional: creative sporty costume (for the benefit of the referees, please be uniform)
An epic warm-up anthem

If you cannot find enough players for a team, or if you have any other questions, please send an email to paula.pechtold@uni-bayreuth.de and we will try to organize teams (and consult with you).

The registration deadline for the teams ends on 18.03.2025 at 23:59 (CET).

Apart from playing teams, all other interested chemists are of course also invited to cheer us on. Meeting point is from 11 am at the sports institute. We have planned for introductions to begin at 11:30 am and the game to start at 12:00 pm. The changing rooms in the sports institute are available so that you can change into your sportswear beforehand.
Please plan ahead so that we can kick off on time.

We have reserved the hall until 6 p.m. as planned, but for all those who don't want to end the day there will be the opportunity to barbecue on the AC III terrace afterwards (please bring your own barbecue food, bread will be provided) and eat your heart out until you are completely full.
